Yep, Amo Jones did just what I thought she would do – gave me one of the biggest book hangovers of my life…and a regular hangover because of the copious amounts of alcohol that were needed to get through this book! She will blow your mind – she will take you down all the dark and dirty trails of The Elite Kings all while dangling the charming yet vengeful Nate Malum in front of you. He is every one of my fantasies come true and no matter how broken or bold he is – I still want him!
You may think you know Nate from the first three books in this series….but you don’t. And as much as I love his fun-loving playboy side, there is something much darker lurking in him and when you see it come out, be prepared. I didn’t think I could fall for him any harder than I already had – but I did. I love his possessiveness, his cocky and arrogant attitude, and the confidence in which he runs in his circle of Elite Kings. There were times in this book I wanted to scream at him – I cried, I wanted to throw my Kindle, and punch him in the face. But I have to believe deep down this is how he is meant to be. A Jones is pure evil genius with how she creates and writes her characters, and Nate’s transformation from the playboy to the doting father to the malicious King is absolutely mesmerizing.
Tillie Stuprum… this girl is one of the reasons I have not been able to stop thinking about this book in the past 48 hours. This girl is my queen and I want to be her BFF and rule the Kings and Perdita with her!! She is the perfect match for Nate with her sassy and confident attitude. I love that she doesn’t back down to him. She doesn’t cower. She is bold, fearless, beautiful, and fits right into the mysterious and devious world of the Kings. The past that haunts her has actually become one of her best weapons…she is resilient and her rough edges make her all the more appealing to the King’s world. Her love-hate relationship with Nate is a roller-coaster ride that I am not ready to get off of just yet. Their chemistry is explosive and I love every second they are together – loving or hating each other.
Malum was everything I expected and nothing I expected – in true Elite Kings fashion. A Jones writes this book brilliantly. Each sentence, paragraph and chapter hold significance and you’d better pay attention because SHIT GETS CRAZY! Amo creates this “dream world” where it’s so easy to fall for every character despite their flaws and demons. She makes the darkest and ugliest of traits in them somehow beautiful and alluring, and she pulls in her readers with tempting fantasy-like scenarios that I just can’t get enough of!
Although at times you want to question these young adults’ behavior – this is the world of Amo Jones and every single reason why I fell in love with her writing and stories. This book is a Must-Read, and it will consume your mind long after you’ve finished it…the fantasies, the questions, and the possibilities of what is to come! The world of the Elite Kings is like a drug and I am addicted. Well done once again A Jones! I can’t wait for Part II!!!
